The sandbox and production environments, and how entity assignment decides which you use.

Zodia Markets operates several legal entities to serve clients in different jurisdictions. Your assigned entity decides which API environment you integrate against.

Entities

Two entities support API execution.

Your assignment follows your company's jurisdiction of incorporation, the regulatory requirements that apply to it, and your service agreements with Zodia Markets.

Sandbox

A production-like environment for developing and testing an integration. Availability is at the discretion of Zodia Markets.

Request a sandbox account through your Relationship Manager or [email protected], providing your company name, primary contact, intended use case and expected integration timeline. Provisioning typically takes one to two business days.

It undergoes maintenance through the week, its data may be reset at any time, and its rate limits are lower than production so that resources are shared fairly between testing clients. Do not depend on sandbox data surviving between test runs. If you need a sustained testing window, ask client services.

Sandbox uses simulated funds only. Testing with real funds happens in production.

Production

Once your production account is approved and activated you receive separate production credentials. Your Relationship Manager begins that onboarding, and will help you judge when your integration is ready for it.

Sandbox and production credentials are separate. Never use production credentials against sandbox, or the reverse.

Examples throughout this documentation use the UK sandbox environment (trade-uk.sandbox.zodiamarkets.com) unless stated otherwise. Substitute your own entity and environment.
